| Senior Member | Idea for stock I briefly brought this up in the Remington forum, but has anyone used bedliner to coat a stock? The reason I ask is that I'm not fond of the gray stock on my Rem 710. It's ok for the price of the gun, but I think the bedliner would look pretty sweet on there. I wouldn't do this to something with a wood or laminate stock, but I don't see any problems putting it on this. I'd have to sand it down some and be very careful, but I think with the right prep it could turn out nice... Any input? |

| Senior Member ![]() | I seen where some one did it to a yugo SKS at one time. Bed liner is typically a 2 component polyurea & should stick, will have to prep sand. Make sure you tape up the action well as the mil build is quite high. Matter of fact it will probably make the stock fatter. If sprayed, have them hold the gun back at a distance and move fast. This will give smaller droplet size, more of a pebble finish. The single component bed liner is not as nice as the 2 component polyurea IMO, but may work ok.
