| I need to avoid the bone
Ok I took your guys advise about rifles, I gave up the 45 idea and am going with the ak thing. WASR-10 with a dragnoff stock is it a good gun I can get one under 300. I dont mind spending some cash but if i can get a good gun iam happy. I want to nail 3inch groups and smaller at 100 yards I think i can hunt game under 400 pounds with this. Is it a good gun.

I don't like that style of stock. It just doesn't 'fit' me comfortably.

AK's were built for Russian soliders who, at the time, couldn't hit an apple at 10 yards.(exageration) The AK is a great gun for extreme conditions. MOST AK's are only gunna get you 6in groups at 100yds. If you want accuracy in a semi-auto, AR-15. Find a decent used bushmaster, or armalite. If you aren't looking for Quality, but affordability - DPMS. |

Well here we go again with an AR guy saying AK's can't hit shite... I would put my Bulgarian milled AK up against a basic AR and come away pleased...very accurate, very sturdy...a bit more than you want to pay though Olaf.... |

3" groups at 100yd will not come from ANY AK, but it will come from MANY AKs. The Russian Saigas should do about that well, as well as the Bulgarian models. VEPRs, based on the RPK action, as well as most milled AKs, specifically the milled one NRAJOE spoke of, will do that too. WASRs are a crapshoot on accuracy. Some do give 3" groups. Some don't do that well. Buy two and you have a good chance of one of them doing 3moa. The good news - A clean, undamaged Yugoslav SKS should be able to do that well. In any of the above, try using US ammo for the high accuracy and hunting, ie Remington and Winchester.
