| Kel-Tec SU-16 vs. Colt AR-15
I have a Colt AR-15 that I shoot competitively with the CT state Rifle Assoc., and I also use it to hunt coyote and other various pests. I am now looking at the Kel-Tec SU-16 series. I am wondering how they compare as far as accuracy, reliability, and quality. What model is good for what, and if you like yours. (Mind you I'm never letting go of my AR!!!) |

I always thought the kel tec was kind of gimmicky. I like my AR-180B better. SW |

Do a search and you'll find we have reviewed the SU-16 before. It's in a totally different class than the AR-15. Like an economy car compared to a sportscar. Both will shoot - the AR-15 does it better. The SU-16 is an okay plinker and truckgun.

Colt vs Kel-Tec????? PFFFFFFFTTTTTTT... You're kidding right? COLT! Colt is far better in all areas. Not putting down Kel-Tec, but Colt is far better.

I was very impresed with the Kel-Tec when I first saw it. It looked like they did an awesome job of incorporating everything into a lightweight unit. Then I held one at a gun show... It felt so cheap it was disgusting. I wanted one badly up to that point. Just my $.02 |
