| A Day Across the Lake Yesterday at about 7:00pm my dad, sister, and I took a trip out across Utah Lake. This place is where all the locals go shooting, ATVing, and Dirtbiking if they don't want to spend a few hours to the West Desert. In the trunk we had my Smith & Wesson 27-2 6"; my sisters Ruger GP-100 with a custom 4" barrel, S&W Ramp sight, Eagle Gun Fighter Grips, and a trigger job(my dad traded that for a load of 7.62x39 armor peircing rounds); My dad's Springfield M1A Scout; his Mossberg 590 20", 9shot, marine corps style with a heat shield, bayonet lug, and speed feed stock; and last but not least, my Colt Sporter Target (20" stnd gov't profile barrel, AR-15). On the way up the hill, I saw 1000s of mice. EVERYWHERE. There were mouse paths all over, it was incredible. So, obviously we had to go Mouse-Stomping, which led to Mouse-Hunting, and when there we're no more 12ga shells left, Mouse-Pumelling with large rocks. :P Anyway, we also brought a 1" thick steel plate to test against a .223 and .308. It did! Anyway, I got REALLy bored and thought, "Hey, didn't I see a video clip of that guy bump firing with his thumb and AR-15, and don't I have an M1A in my hand???" Well, I only had 3 rounds in that mag, so I did it anyway. HOLY CRAP! I had to do it again, so I loaded up an AR mag, and got my thumb in possition, and let the ammo fly. BAMBAMBAMBAMBAMBAMBAMBAMBAMBAMBAMBAMBAMBAMBAMBAMBA MBAMBAMBAMBAMBAMBAMBAMBAMBAMBAMBAMBAMBAM!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! All in all, it was a good day. Last edited by utahvarminter; 07-07-2006 at 09:46 PM. |

| Mouse Hunting is great fun with a .22 handgun. Just hit 'em in the head, or you ruin the pelts . . . :ballons:
