Ideas for next gun

Ok, with the gun show less then 48 hours away, my brain has gone into overdrive running through all the things I could buy(ok, so this is my own personal Christmas). I'm pretty sure everyone on these boards knows what most of my weapons are, modern atleast. I'm going to take about $700 with me, and I don't have alot I HAVE to buy. The only two things I really need to take care of is the cracked stock on my MAK-90 and some more surplus .308. However the .308 takes priority over the stock because I can have my wife get me something for Christmas or order something from BRG3. Heres what I've come up with so far:

Saiga .308
Saiga .223
Yugo underfolder
Arsenal AK
Stripped lower and complete upper for another AR

The two Saigas worry me because I'm afraid I'd screw up the receiver doing the conversion, but with some help from my Dad I'm sure we could pull it off. I've also heard that the days of getting a Yugo underfolder for around $500 are about to be a thing of the past. These rifles and kits are flying off the shelves faster then they can be replaced. I should be able to buy an Arsenal AK for somewhere between $550 and $650, probably more towards $650 but I'd still have the money. Back to the Saiga .308, I planned on buying this gun as another deer rifle, but I could always pick up a 5 or 10 round mag for my G3 and use it instead(got all kinds of bolt guns so....). As for the AR, I'd love to build another one, especially a fullsize rifle. So, there ya have it. Of course with the Saigas I could probably buy two, thats always a plus. After seeing the picture below, I've got the AK bug, must have more. If anyone has any other advice, please share it, I've still got alot of time to think.

If you can build an AR, you can convert a Saiga. That's my opinion having done both. Still have the Saigas.

BRG3, is it hard to change out the handguards on a Saiga?

If you mean going to AK style handguards, yes or no. Yes if you mean installing a regular retainer to take any AK handguard. No if you go with BattleRifle's unique integrated retainer plate.

Stupid rain, oh well, time for bed. My Dad better not say he's sick tomorrow like he did today or I'm gonna flip.

I have developed an integrated retainer for Saiga-308 handguards. It's permanently fastened to the handguard, which is specific to the Saiga even when made in AK or Galil style. This retainer keeps the front end in place while the original screw keeps the rear end in place.

Having a two-piece handguard requires an AK-74 gas tube be substituted for the original. Thankfully it's a simple replacement and any AK spec upper handguard will work.
