| The action looks like an old Marlin or Stevens, BUT . . . Take that stock off now! You have an illegal SBR or 'pistol' made from a rifle' (a no-no to the BATFE-men!), I think. The barrel has been shortened - is it under 16.5 inches? The overall length is definitely under the legal limit. Personally, I'd hack it into pieces and dispose of it. It has no value, and could cause legal problems.

| If you can get a Model number, we can cross-reference it to the manufacturer - then it shouldn't be hard to find a stock. Even a similar style rifle's stock could be modified to work well. Maybe we can save this thing after all. But only you can decide if it's really worth the cost for revamping a cheap rifle.

| I can't find that exact model number in the cross reference lists, but believe it's the Savage 620/621 series rifles. It definitely looks like a Savage/Stevens action, judging by the forward position of the bolt handle and the cocker knob on the bolt. Check out ebay, gun broker and numrich for the stock. The old guns are often parted out, and I've seen plenty of older stocks from time to time. A newer savage stock could maybe be modified enough to work. Double check the barrel length too - it shouldn't be less than 16.5 inches, even on a "boy's rifle".

| I have one also. Definantly a Savage/Stevens made rifle. A variation of the Model 3, and any Model 3 stock should work. |
