NEF .204 Ruger

I bought a NEF Handi Rifle in 204 Ruger yesterday, and sighted it in today. What a great fun gun to shoot. Does any one else have one or have any comments on a gun like this? Price - $650.00CAD including scope, rings, 40 rounds, and taxes.

650$ for a handi-rifle? WOW. i paid 270$ for my .45-70 handi rifle and it had to be shipped from nevada to SD air freight. Unless its got a zeiss scope on it, you got boned.

I think the little Handi Rifles, are great guns for the money, and they tend to be accurate.

Give us a range report on that .204 after you test it. I have a HandiRifle in .243 and am interested in those tiny long distance capable calibers like the .204. The HandiRifle has the ability to quick change barrel sizes as I'm sure you knew when you got yours. However you have to have a scope for each barrel.

I have read where the stock causes accuracy issues. There are cures for that though.

I had a 204 Handi. It was a most excellent shooter too, at 1/2" groups and under with some consentration. The only reason I sold it was I had too many projects and I will own one again soon.
If anyone is looking to try out the new 204 caliber pick up a NEF Handi rifle with a wood stock. The wood stocks give less fuss and are easy to fine tune to an accurate rifle if you shouldn't get a straight out of the box shooter.
Plus you can always upgrade to nice Laminated stocks or Choate Varmint stocks as well. Of course not mentioning the awesome barrel program offered by NEF/H&R

I want that gun!!! lol. I looked at it at Dick's and it was $300 American. Looks like a great rifle, I really like the ability to change the bbl to a different caliber. Glad you like it, hows it shoot?
