25-06 rifle

what do you think about a 25-06? Is it a good deer gun? Do u like the 25-06 or the 270 better? Which one has more recoil? Does the NEF come in 25-06?

Good long range coyote gun. Yes, Yes, 25-06, 270, Yes.

It was the last really expensive gun I thought long and hard about. I use it primarily for low light shooting due to the Schmidt and Bender 8x with 56mm objective scope on it.

The .25-06 is one of the most overlooked deer cartridges out there. It has very good ballistics without punishing the shooter. The only thing that limits it is bullet weight. As long as you aren't into long-range deer sniping, it's a great round. I'm thinking about buying a Tikka T3 chambered for it. I really want a T3 Hunter.
