| New SKS Magazines I recieved a 2007 Fall Cabelas catolog one day last week and just now got around to looking through it. It has Quote: "All new construction" magazines for SKS rifles. You have choices of 5, 10,20,30,40 & 50 round capacity. Heres the story from the catalog.... Constructed in the U.S.A using the finest equipment and tooling, the bodies of these magazines are built with quality carbon steel. Glass-filled self-lubricating followers ensure reliable feeding. The magazines springs are fashioned from high-carbon music wire for extra tensile strenght. Each of these magazines is coated with a great looking and durable black oxide finish. Any magazine found to be defective will be replaced with a new product. Order Individually or in pairs. These magazines are also available for AK's, Colt AR'S,M1 Carbines 30 calib.,M14.308calib. Ruger's mini 30 &14's See catalog. From what I've learned at G&G is that in the past high capasity magzines for SKS didn't work or were not at all satisfactory. Maybe Cabela's has found some one that can make them work. If anyone buys one of these magazines please let the members here at Gun and Game know ! Thanks A.H P.S. I sure would like to have an SKS that will hold 30 rounds !!!! |

| ezealn Don't worry the fat lady has sang at my house, No more guns !!! Except I will be buying an SKS one of these days sooner or later...A.H Edit: Folks it makes good sense to own an SKS and if these magazines work then that will make owning one that much better. Though I don't worry about a shft, if'in one were to occur, The cheapest and meanest firearm to tote around for your SHTF gun would be an inexspensive SKS comparded to AR-15's, AK's and the like. They cost way more. Of course ammo availabilty might be an issue...A.H Last edited by ArkansasHunter; 09-06-2007 at 01:42 PM. |
