Can't shoot

So what do you guys do when you can't shoot, but want to do SOMETHING with your guns? It just sucks so bad when you want to shoot, but just don't have the time or money...

I'll take one of the guns I own and prop it against the wall next to my recliner some times just to admire it.
My favorite gun right now is my Mossberg 930 semi-auto shotgun. It looks great in
black matte finish and synthectic stocks w/24" barrel.
It has a perfect finish on it and it handles better than my 3 Remingtons.

I may set another one out to admire latter on or 2 or 3 I don't shoot that often but I do like looking at them all the time...A.H

I clean my guns, strip them, get to know them really well. I might make sure they're empty and practice some fast draws or quick sight acquisition techniques.

I clean them and leave them out where I can see/reach them. I also check out catalogs or websites with guns.

load ammo for the next shooting session. Problem is, the holsters keep me busy enough, I don't get much shooting time in lately.

If I want to go shoot I just go out back and shoot. If its too cold I actually have an air rifle corse set up in one of our out buildings, we have a pool table couches, fridge and wet bar out there too, it is heated by a big pot belly (not mine an old wood stove). But I like cleaning and tinkering with them, building new bp fire arms.

I can usually find time to shoot. Boy it must get cold down there! If I'm being lazy I'll BS on here, or work on a project rifle.

If I can't afford to shoot my big guns, then I will usually grab my .22LR and put a few hundred rounds down range. That usually makes me feel better.

Another alternative is to buy snap caps and dry fire a lot. That lets you become more familiar with the trigger and is a lot cheaper than shooting real ammo.

For Snap caps, I recommend: Welcome to the A-Zoom Website!

Sometimes dryfireing can damage the fireing pin or chamber. Especially on rimfire. I Just clean my guns and load them and unload them.

MAKE LOVE TO YOUR WEAPON....

Don't allow the weapon to become a strange feeling in your arms. When watching TV, hold it, fondle it, clean it, handle it, practice positions, practice sight pictures and sight alignments, just hold the damn thing. Anything that will prevent you two from becoming STRANGERS. You BOTH need to be each others BEST FRIENDS for a successful relationship.
