next gun

im thinking about what the next rifle i want to buy will be. i have a rem 700 in 223 an a tikka 270. im thinking mayb a 25-06. but that would have to wait till fall. or i was thinking about getting a 17HMR now but idk if should wait and save for the 25-06

Well, it all depends on what you want to use it for. A .223 would serve well as a paper puncher and varmints. The 25-06 or 270 are good for medium sized game, with the 25-06 serving a little better varmint gun, with the 270 having more knock down power for larger animals.

I have a .17, and it is a blast to shoot. You can get into a .17 for less money than the centerfires, also. Its a great little round for plinking, and is explosive on small game.

So, you just have to decide what you want to use the gun for, then get what you want.
