| The Tavor design might be a contender for our new battle rifle competition if we could get it chambered in 6.5 Grendel or 7.62 NATO. But in 5.56 Poodle Shooter, it does not have the hitting power I feel a battle rifle should have. I don't believe the Tavor is made in anthing byt 5.56 NATO. Has anyone heard how the Indian Army is getting on with the Tavor? They are the first non-Israelis to get the Tavor in quantity. I'd like to know what they think of it. |

| My dad was in the marines he always told me that m'16's are junk and the us military needs to seriously replace it as the main soldier on foot weapon or what not. |

I am sure they will chamber it in NATO 7.62 eventually, especially now since they are selling it. I'd like to see that AA12 with that grenade round as well, though that gun looks super huge and heavy. I would love to shoot one of those! | |

Plus it hasen't even been field tested, for all we know it could preform worse then when the M16 was introduced in Vietnam. From what I've heard the only reason why the DoD chose the M16 over the M-14 was because they wanted a rifle, that could be under controll under fully auto, and now they threw that out because they where wasting ammo. I think the M14 with a straight buttstock would be best. Bigger caliber, and reliable. All I have to say is, there are better rifles out there then the M16. but giving up the M16 would give up amount of ammo you can carry, but you would get penetration.
