| Senior Member | remmington 700 prices I have been seeing a big fluctuation in prices on these guns. Is there anything I should look for in these guns that would justify a higher price, or are they trying to rip me off? |

| No This is a high quality, mass produced firearm. While some of them do come from the custom shop with special wood and so on I would spend time searching as very good ones are always available in the newspapers, Shotgun News, garage sales, pawn shops, etc. at quite reasonable prices. |

| Senior Member | Make sure you compare apples to apples. What I mean by this....Make sure when you look at a rifle at Wal-mart,pawn shop, sporting goods store, that all are 700's of the same. In other words,700ADL to 700ADL.700BDL to 700BDL.700 sendero to 700 sendero.etc.

| Meatloaf, I just Bought a Model 700 CDL, brand new for about $800. It will do about 2 inch groups with factory ammo, and about an 1 with some of my handloads, overall a great firearm, but the trigger gaurd assembly is plastic, to me it is a turn off, I am a traditionalist who likes wood and Iron. I love the gun but remington could do a little better. Accurate though. |
