| .220 swift rifle
Does anyone no of a rifle in .220 swift under $1,000? I haven't been able to find a .220 outside of custom shops and I know its not the most popular cartridge but, it should be in some factory rifle.

Post an ad in a publication such as Shotgun News. This may not be an easy find but there were, at one time, a large number of rifles in this caliber. Good luck and good shooting. |

Just looked on gunbroker. They had several under $1,000. Had 1 stainless fluted from 2005 that is listed as NIB and is way under msrp.

My favorite .220 swift is a Ruger #1. They are very accurate and load better than breakopens. The problem with bolt guns in this cartridge is they have to use a mag designed for the .220 swift cartridge. You will hardly (if at all)notice the difference with a .22-250 and have a little better case to reload.Altho the .220 is ok if you use a collet neck resize die.) sam.

Do not know if Savage has one in their line up but you can always get a spare barrel in that cal. an switch them back and forth. I have thought of doing this with my 30-06 and a 22-250 all you need is a barrel nut wrench some go and no go gages and the new barrel. You can check with midway to see if they have this set up or not. I used to own a 220 swift in a savage single shot bolt years ago and like a dummy sold it. A gopher hit will make most of him evaporate.
