The 25-06 is now a standard factory cartridge. AI usually means Ackley Improved, or a wildcat version designed by Ackley (if he is still alive...). In my view the .25 caliber using the 30-06 case is lots big enough already. To enlarge the case further puts it up near the 257 Weatherby, which moves it into barrel burner country.

If I remember right, Ackley mainly change the shoulder angle of the case. I am not familur with the 25-06 AI, but the 257 AI was a definate improvement.

For the record theres several major manufactures of centerfire rifle that are "now" manufacturing rifles that are as acurate or more acurate than Savages.
Do your home work and you'll know this.
Barrels are better and theres more adjustable perfect triggers than you count on your fingers.
Stocks have changes too, dang near every componen has changed in most of the major rifle manufactures.
And they needed to change. Example Ruger Hwkeye for one, go check it out !
