| I am trying to decide between a Kimber 84 and a Savage 12FVSS rifle. I am interested in knowing other's opinions on which is more accurate and which they would recommend and why? Thanks for any replies. |

| Savage is the most accurate gun out of the box, but fit and finish is great on Kimbers. I think the price is better with the Savage but you must choose for your self. Which ever you choose the gun will last a lifetime. |

| I would opt for the Savage. But that is just me. Which ever you choose just make sure you get some good glass on it.

| Yes, the Savage is about $300 less money. However the Savage appears to have a stainless action to go along with the stainless barrell. The Kimber has a blued steel action with stainless barrell as best I can tell from pictures. I have yet to actually handle either gun. Any thoughts on which material is better for the action. I tend to think the SS would be better but I don't really know. |

| I've heard alot of bad Rumors about savage, but I've had very good luck with both that I have owned. My hunting rifle is a savage in 270. |

My vote goes to the Kimber, i am nothing short of impressed with mine. They are a pretty rifle in the pictures, but just wait until you get it home, my word they are beautiful. What model 84 are you looking at dickdl? I am just waiting for tax time to roll around and i am buying myself a 84M Select Grade in .22-250 with the french walnut stock. | If I had the pick of the two, it would be the Kimber. I am not trying to take anything from the Savage because they are good shooters.
