I think even the new hi point just send them in without the mags and when it comes back they will send you two (or so i was told don't quote me on this). But if you buy the use one it will be good as new when you get it back, plus mags i believe. I would say just go for the used if its in decent shape.

aquilia makes a 1and1/2 inch low power 12 gauge shell that would be great for home defence

I thought about using specifically under powered shells on a 12g for her, but I decided I didn't want to always count on being able to get such special ammo, especially in an emergency. It would be like having a car that only ran of alcohol or something, hah.

Decisions, Decisions... to buy the used or not to buy used? If the other store has two of them ready to go today, then Ill probably get those. If they are going to have to order anything at all, then Ill wait. I say this because the used one is at a gun store / pawn shop and they are waiting for a clip to come from the factory (from what I understand, they got it with a broken stock and missing a few parts, and they got all replacement stuff from the factory, which itself makes me question it).

Is it worth it to get the .40 over the 9mm? It doesnt seem like a whole lot of difference in round performance, though I suppose it would have proportionally greater stopping power?
