| Max effective range. Bullet drop and rise trajectory at various ranges. Amount of energy at said ranges.

| There is a free ballistics program which you can download that I find really good. See this site: http://www.huntingnut.com/index.php?...=article&sid=3 It needs muzzle velocity and the ballistic coeffient(BC) for each load you create. You can get the MV from the mfg, and this site has a calculator to get BC if you put in the MV and 100 yard velocity (which you can get from the ammo mfg site). JBM - Calculations - Ballistic Coefficient (Velocity) PointBlank does not come populated with loads. Here is my data file, which you can save into the same directory where you install PointBlank. It will give you a starting point. I don't have the 6.5x55 Swede in there, but you can easily add all the loads for it that you are interested in. http://www3.telus.net/Ron_AKA/RELOADER.DAT Ron Last edited by Ron AKA; 04-21-2008 at 11:14 AM. |
