What happend to your 308??????

I got told it would be 2months, 3 months maximum when i ordered the rifle. Now i've been told it will be september. My mates and i have planned a trip well before then. Doesn't work out well and the fact that i am left handed makes it hard to find the rifle in another shop. Berretta Australia apparently aren't getting any till September so nor is my gun shop. What caliber would you suggest for our conditions? You would know them better than anyone else on these forums.

You ever dealt with browning a-bolt rifles? No-one here can tell me how the "hunter" performs.
