Anyone still get a gun publication in the mail anymore...?

Some of you older guys will remember before the Internet gun magazines were it. "Peterson's Gun's and Ammo", Shooting Times", "Fur-Fish-Game", "Outdoor Life" to name just a few.

Since the Internet have you cut back on the subscriptions? I only get two speciality mag's now...varmint and ice fish spearing and I'm thinking of dropping the varmint pub.

I would say the mag publication business is losing ground?

I just started looking at gun magazines again after a 20 year lay off, and I'm suprised at how few there are in the magazine racks compared to the 70's, used to be a lot to choose from in supermarkets. etc., now there are hardly any. What's up with that?

There's still quite a few magazines, I think its the anti gun companies that A. stock the racks and B. Anti gun corporations that own the stores with the racks. My local news agency has to ask for certain magazines or they won't get them automagically

Yeah, I mean I get American Rifleman as a matter of NRA membership and that's it. Down at the gun club people leave last month's editions of all the others lying around so I pick one or two up when I'm there and throw them on the coffee table or in the john.

I agree, mostly advertising thinly veiled as stories.

I still receive about 5 or 6 monthly shooting and hunting publications. I prefer to be able to read ALL of the stories inside. I pay as little as $1. per month for hard copies that run 3-$5 at the newstand. I reckon I'm simply old-fashioned.

i get Gunhunter. its by Buck Masters. i like it. it covers gun related stuff in relation to more hunting oriented situations than some of the others ive read. i also get American hunter (NRA). only draw backs to gunhunter are that its only a 6 issue per year magazine and i think you have to join buckmasters to get it.

I'm currently receiving OutDoor Life and Field and Stream. I let Guns and Ammo run out and didn't resubscribe it.
But I'm missing it and will get around to subscribing it again...A.H

I get American Rifleman due to my NRA membership, and got a gift subscription to Guns & Ammo from the wife for my birthday. I occasionally will pick up one of the others as an impulse buy at the quickie-mart. As much as I enjoy the instant gratification of the internet sometimes it nice to actually hold something in your hands.
