For all you WW2 fans out there. PTR44

PTR (known for their PTR G3 style rifle)
Has gone really old school and has come up with a new STG44!
PTR44
Welcome to PTR 91 Inc. Home to the PTR-91 Series of Rifles <-- click here and click on picture of it.

PTR seems to make some quality rifles, a tad on the expensive side for me but I cant wait to see how this turns out.

Only downside is that unlike their other .308 battle rifles which go fro around $1,000 these are going for $4,250 with extra mags at around $150!
*sigh... Im a sad panda.

WOW, and it is actually chambered in the 7.9x33! That is hot.

That's cool. But it seems like it would be better if it was chambered in a more popular caliber. It seems like retro military "lookalikes" and semi-auto versions of classic military firearms are pretty popular right now.

Yep, if they made it in 7.62X39, they could reduce the price by half and sell a LOT more! I'd maybe buy one at a couple grand - but NOT at four grand!
And the 8mm Kurtz is hard to come by - if someone makes it commercially it will be spendy! We handloaders could cut down cases and make our own.

I'm glad they kept the original chambering. That would be cool to own.

TACAV, where did you find that $4,000 price tag on the Sturmgewehr? The listing that came up when I rolled over it was "USD price to come."

As for the other G3s, I'll stick with my Spanish CETME, thank you very much.
