Couple questions: towards the tip of the under side of the barrel, is that a bayonet lug or strap mount spot?
Is the inside of the barrel threaded to accept a flash supressor?
If both yes than I've got one to sell because it's not legal in NJ
I'm really hoping it is because I'm excited to get it.
Also does anyone know what quad rail system fits? And can you provide a link to one please. | 100% legal in NJ. I can assure you as someone who had it transferred about three weeks ago through Meltzer's in Northern Jersey. See posts above for extra mags info. Start looking for cleaning supplies. EAA provides none with you rifle. Good luck.
P.S. Am I the only one with PAP mag, advertized as 10 rounds capacity, which fits only 9?

I did clean it up really good, mine looked like it had a cigarette's worth of tobacco inside it.
I had no problem loading 10 rounds in the magazine and have since ordered 4 more from that site posted....are they metal mags or polymer?

I shot mine again yesterday and this time it jammed several times. Found out I put to much oil in it so that was my fault, But time before shooting it shot like 60 rounds through it and not one jam at all. So just easy on the oil I guess. LOL

Also if anyone interested - I had installed a side rail for mounting AK-type optics without using rivets.

I am interested to learn what you did with the magazine as well as how you attached a rail. I 'm new to AKs and am starting from scratch.

| To fix your mags you will need Dremel tool and about 1/8" thickness small metal plate. I have a Home Depot variety $65 Dremel and used a left over 1'x2' metal plate. You will also need any good quality glue capable of permanently gluing together metal parts. I tested repaired magazine and had no problem with it. Plastic mag shipped with Zastava jammed on the last round almost every time. Installation of the scope side rail was easy and took about 30 minutes. I got an MPK2 rail from Tantal (Doug Ford) and followed instructions religiously. If you align it parallel with the top of receiver, the scope will be exactly parallel to the axis of bore. The only slight complication was dremmeling out metal plate (used in Zastava mag well to hold narrow single stack mag) to insert the third screw. Installation instructions will be shipped with you scope rail and can be found online at http://www.tantal.kalashnikov.guns.ru/rail_install.html |

I have only went to the range with the PAP one time. Was really accurate at 25 and 50 yards. Was more fun to shoot than the 2 ARs I used to own. Next range trip with be 100 yards. The range only allows 6 rounds in the mag so I haven't tried to shoot a fully loaded mag yet.

| You will need to add small metal plates on both sides of the magazine lug. The first one directly above the lug will make the magazine a little longer (fitting is required) and will prevent it from moving horizontally (back and forward) in the mag well. The second plate directly on the lug will make the lug a little thicker and will prevent the mag from hanging too low and mis-feeding. Dont' forget to remove small patches of paint from the surfaces you are gluing to or it will not adhere well (don't ask me how I know). Let me know if it works for you.
See attached a photo of modified (on the left) and unmodified magazines.

I just bought this gun on saturday and picked up a halographic sight for it and put it on and shot perfectly accurate, but i was looking for higher cap mags as well, and that link is now not taking me to the right page. i was told that you cannot find any furniture for this as well, is that true?

BTW, Parallax Tactical LLC has metal WASR-10, 10 Rd. single stack mags that fit the Zastava for only $9.95 each. I just ordered three based on recommendation of a friend. He says they work fine.

just bought these from parallax. I have read exactly 50/50 on these. some say they jam, or don't work so good, others say they are fine, including what your friend said. I haven't got them yet so we will see. I figured at $20 for two, I'll take a chance and see, after all you can't seem to find anything on the net for this rifle. I ordered mine from AK47rifle.com and they said they only come with one mag, and if I wanted more, go to their website where they are $45! cheaper than dirt, whom I originally ordered it from, took my credit card info, said it was in stock, then after a few days sent me an email saying sorry, it's not in stock(the rifle not the mags) but with CTD, they send you 2 or even 3 mags with the rifle. one place too I asked about these mags, and the guy said hey these will fit it(tasco or topsco or some such brand) and I emailed him back and said "are you sure"? and he emails me, "oh actually no those wont fit" so you must be careful cause people don't know about this zastava rifle
frustrating, buds gun shop said they were out of stock, so I went to cheaper than dirt, who said it was in stock, but then no not in stock, so I went to AK47rifle.com and they say it is in stock, but after a week, it still has not shipped, she said they were "running behind" so stupid me have all the mags, 500 rounds of silver bear ammo, a gun cleaning kit, and no friggin zastava PAP! then I read about how buds gun shop now does have it in stock, and how fast they are in shipping it out. talk about frustrating. I want my bad ass looking rifle!

Brian,
Sorry to hear about your frustrating experiences. Bud's does have them in now, and they sent me two new mags (and a manual) with my $369 purchase. I emailed EAA and asked about the comments I had read about firing pins being damaged by steel case, Berdan primes, and I wanted their guidance on the issue. They wrote me back and said I should not use steel case ammo. I had already ordered 10 cases so I cancelled that order and changed it to soft point brass. BTW, my order arrived at my FFL's from Bud's in two days after placing the order late one night. If you could, or wanted to cancel your back order, you may want to reconsider Bud's ... they are still in stock there right now and still $369. In addition to accessories, I have bought at least 5 weapons from them and am very pleased with their selection and service. Regardless of where your's comes from, I hope you like it as much as I like the one I received. Even my FFL couldn't believe it (a large local gun & sports' dealer!). Good luck.
