Georgia HB 12

I guess all you guys are aware of house bill 12 which is to be introduced into the Georgia Legislature this session for encoding ammo. Get busy now and email, call or send a letter to your senators, congressmen, and or local elected officials expressing your dislike and that this bill dhould not be passed to a law.
It is time that our elected officials address the real problem---the criminal and not keep making laws that take away the privileges of those of us who are responsible, law abiding citizens. When elected officials can't work for us then we need to un-elect them and put in someone who will.
If you don't know who you should contact, go to the NRA website and click on legislative affairs, click on Georgia then all you have to do is to insert your zip code.
It's time to get busy. If it is only for handgun ammo---remember that there are a lot of .22 cal handguns and many others that are built on rifle calibers. This will totally destroy our ability to purchase ammo for recreational purposes.

I called the Capitol today, they said the bill hasn't gone to comitee or even been 'droped' yet. Of course it is not too early to call your Reps.

What's to keep someone from going to a gun range and grabbing a handfull of spent casings and dropping them at a crime scene while using a brass catcher?

This bill will be defeated, even the Dems know that. But I'm scared by the audacity of even proposing a bill that you know will be defeated.

They would have to micro engrave the back of the bullet, and they don't have a machine to do that, so whoever is trying to sell that equipment is the likely culprit for the bill. Follow the money trail.

P.S. Acoording to GeorgiaPacking.org, it's actually SB 12. But When I called the Capitol, they spoke as if it was droped in the House. So I don't know. Just tell them you don't like the bullet engraving bill.

It is SB 12, I erroneously posted HB 12---sorry!! Remember that it is the crime in Atlanta that generates all this stuff here.

All you Georgia folks contact your Legislators and let them know your opinions and how you wish them to vote. I believe I read that there are simular bills in 18 different States. So far, Oklahoma is not one of them but everyone should check your own State and if such a Bill is pending, advise your Legislators on how you wish them to vote.
