| I've got a range buddy who used to be a high-muckitymuck with the Dept. of Education where I work, who we call "the Glock Man". He has nine of the things at last count, plus an HS2000 ( a Serbian-made Glock clone for half the price). All shoot well. I'm particularly partial to his single-stack compact .45ACP model. I shouldn't be able to shoot it with that shorty grip, but it works! Once I get my CCW, that'll be my choice for a carry piece.

| :assult: :assult: :assult: :assult: :assult: My trusty G23 is my companion all the time, my job takes me to places that are really spooky, take for example my current project, it is remodeling a baseball field in the middle of a housing project 30 years old. This place is known for gang wars and every week there's a shootout between gang members trying to control the drug trade. I allready made contact with both gangs and they're clear that I'm there to help them in the infrastucture of the field and that I don't mind if the do what they do as long as they stay off the field during work hrs. I employed 4 members of each gang and it's amazing that this guys can work with me during the day and even share food at lunch but at night they're rivals and may kill each other anytime. I feel pity for these people. This is the first place that when I'm going in, I'll chamber a rnd just to be sure I'm ready if a situation arrises. They all respect me and treat me well, but you never know....... This job it's suposed to last 120 calendar days and after 60 days, it's 90% completed, I'll rest better when I'm done!!!! By the way, nobody knows I'm armed, it's better to pass as an unarmed, harmless, passive civilian than to show a macho attitude with these guys :assult: :assult: :assult: :assult: :assult:

| :assult: :assult: :assult: :assult: :assult: Great piece of hardware that G22, If I could carry open, I would probably carry the full size G22. I'm planning in buying a couple of Hi cap G22 mags 15rnds and one G23 hi cap mag 13rnds. (all 3rd generation) This is to carry the G23 mag in the gun and the G22 mags as spare, total 44rnds including 1 in the chamber, if you can't get out of a situation with 44rnds, you shouldn't be there at all. I'll wait 'till the ban dies to see if the prices go down !!! :assult: :assult: :assult: :assult: :assult:

| Mandy...I know many officers who use the G22 mag in the G23.....it's actually kind of like a grip extension if ya think about it. I was issued the G22 in my last department. The reason I went to the G23 in my current dept was b/c I can conceal it off duty with ease. The G22 is a fantastic gun and so is the G23.

| G22 I also carry an issue G22 on duty, and love it. I was carrying a 1911 s/80, with 4 extra mags, but the weight of the thing was hard to take after 10 hours. I now get 10 extra rounds and less weight, without giving up any ballistic performance from Ranger 180gr. SXT's ![]() |
