To repeat myself - you can play around outside the SAAMI specs, but it's a good idea to have a gunvice and 20 feet of string as part of your set up!

Police don't believe the gun malfunctioned. Instead, they believe the reloaded ammunition Riling was using caused the problem.

Some shooters reload as a hobby or to save money on commercial, factory-made ammunition. Reloaded ammunition also can be bought.

Target World doesn't sell reloaded ammunition, an employee said. Police didn't know where Riling got his. Because it was in a plastic bag and not in commercial packaging, police said there is a good chance it was "homemade."

Firearms are designed, manufactured and proof-tested to standards based on factory-made ammunition. Reloaded ammunition that deviates from the recommendations can be dangerous, police said. :target:

btw Georgia Arms packages their ammunition in ziploc type bags

A double charge of an already stout load of bullseye, 231, 700X, or several others will fit in the case easily, and can and wiil destroy most anything. Stupid people can destroy anything no matter how strong.

Yes Sir, it was Mr. Ray Riling of Ray Riling
Arms Book Company. I've purchased a
many firearms related books from this old
gentleman in the past.

Talking BTW

I sent this e mail to the reporter that wrote the story...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I read your article on the fellow whose gun malfunctioned and injured him.

Thank you for not turning this into an anti gun hack job that we see so often in the media.

Also, many guys reload as a hobby and many never have a problem. Many more reload as it holds down the cost as you stated.

But, thank you once again for reporting the issue with no bias. Though I do not know if you like guns, own guns or favor peoples rights to own them as I got no impression of any personal opinions in your article.

That is good, clean, professional journalism. That is also something many of your peers in the media have forgotten.

Sincerely
R Muccilli

we had a guy last year that brought in his p-95 all blown to he## and his hand all black and blue and swollen up. ( the gunsmith reasembled the gun and it is still shooting fine, it blew the hand gaurds off and the mag out and bent the ejector) anyway get this stoke of genues. he was shooting some 45 ammo his WIFES BOYFRIEND bought for him at a LAWNSALE. and yes it was in ziplock bags.
if he wasn't such a good customer i'd of handed him his sign. (the song here's you sign )

Hey Colt, isn't the P-95 a 9mm? It was my first duty weapon.
