Extended Slide Stop

Ok, so looking for an extended slide stop for my G21SF. Already checked out Glockmeister and they're higher than the local guy selling them (I just have to wait for him to restock and he has no idea when that will be). Any other sites to check, or wait for the local guy?

I usually got for supporting the local gun shop if you can. I would also think you would get a slight discount working for who you work with. If you can't then Gun Broker's is the first place I would check out.

?

Ma'am: Glockparts.com $15.00
TopGlock: $18.95
Glockmiester : $17.95
? are you going to do anything with the 'trigger'?
? if so what?
I've done the 'Glockmiester' comp. trigger; jury still out whether "I like"
? does any of your group use the "Ghost"

Follow up with your "upgrading"

Thanks

I've been talked out of the extended parts. So I won't be buying the part after all. In a few months I may change the sights, but I haven't completely decided yet. I might just buy the light for the rail for giggles and leave it at that.

I can't say I'm that into the extended slide stop, since I wouldn't use it unless 'combat reloading'; otherwise I just rack the slide to chamber a round.

As for the extended mag release, I'm still liking the idea of that, since I can't push mine enough to release the mag without shifting my hand. I'm just worried it will get caught on clothing or not fit in my Blackhawk CQC Serpa holster.

Well, one of my co-workers showed me the little trick where if you slap the mag in hard enough it chambers on its own. So I'm either going to keep doing that or just pull the slide. The factory slide stop is almost unuseable for me.

Not if you're expecting it. My Bersa does the same thing, only I found that out without knowing it.

Thats funny I thought my Glocks were the only ones that did that! I found it out on accident but have done it ever since.

On my carry gun I use the Aro-tek extended slide release it is nice because it is very streamlined so it doesn't get hung up on your clothes.

As far as the extended mag release goes, I have one on my Glock 34 that I use competitively but on a carry gun stay away from the ones that are just like OEM just longer. They have sharp edges that when worn close to the body, or if you have love handles, is very uncomfortable and will scratch the sh1t out of your side.

Cool

Extended slide stop is cool, but ext mag release tends to catch on everything and sometimes it activates when you don't want it to, so I removed mine a while ago, for speed competition, it may get installed again, but for carry it's worthless.

SuckLead this was taken from one of your posts you made the other day about your gun.......So I dropped the magazine and ejected the round (it didn't eject right, it sort of plopped down the mag well instead). I inspected it, it looked fine, so I put it back in the mag and decided to try it again. That apparently wasn't a good idea. It fired that time but the explosion that came out of the gun threw the gun clear out of my hands and into the wall behind me and knocked me off balance. I picked it up, dropped the mag, cleared it, and walked off the range leaving the gun in the stall (with the rest of my belongings).

Yeah, I still don't get it. A slide stop plus an overcharged load... not following you. Sorry.

This maybe why you had the above problem... A.H

ME : Slamming the magazine and then cambering cartridge may have caused the bullet to seat a little lower in the case causeing pressure build up and the results you experenced.

Possibly, but I wasn't doing it that day. I only use that trick at IDPA matches.

Hi toolman, I've been busy with my Truck modifying it and my new girlfriend (1yr together now), hates the net so must of my online time is on offroad truck forums tho I keep reading G&G at least once weekly.

I noticed that there are many new members and some of the old timers are gone.

I'm glad to hear you're ok, last yr jerry came by and we spent an evening tinkering my guns, Hi jerry, if you ever come this way drop me a line and I'll be happy to show you around too.

The extended Slide lock lever = Slide release, Glock never recons the wee lever on the side was to drop the slide?

My last two Glock 19s came with the factory extended mag releases, work perfect, no sign of catching on any thing.

Banging the mag in very hard can in some cases drop the slide, not to be recomended, if it does not drop the slide, the tendency is to wack it again, and again, not such a good idea, push down with thumb! always works.
