| The GLOCK that started it all I have a GLOCK Model 17 made in 1986, it is the one that the media said could go through a metal detector, was a terrorists weapon, bla, bla, bla... It is indeed one of the most carried firearms by Law Enforcement.. ![]() ![]() |

| G17 K75RT: Sir; your so right. It could not be ?x-rayed? yeah right. I remember shooting one early on. WoW then and now. And the Austrian Army failed all the originals until the 17th revision. Hence the Glock 17; so the story goes

| Other guns have been shot underwater as well. A 1911 shot in a swimming pool for one of Guns and Ammo TV shows comes to mind they fired several shots in succession. The problem is that Mithbusters proved that even a .50 cal will only travel a couple of feet in water before fragmenting. The best bet for a hand gun round being shot in water would be a FMJ. Most of the distance G and A got was from the round rolling It didn't really travel very far. Now back to the topic at hand and pic....Glock has proven itself as a very reliable combat firearm but this pic proves one thing...Glock has always been an ugly gun! ![]()

| Yes, they may shoot one, maybe 2 rounds, usually only one, but they generally don't cycle very well in doing so. lol Guns and Ammo did that with a 1911 as their "torcher test". The first round shot, then the water prevented it from ejecting and cycling properly. GOT GLOCK?

Let me demonstrate with my G27 (technically a 2.5 Generation, since it has the finger grooves, but no frame rail {3rd-Gen only} and is made during the 3rd generation): ![]()
