| Have the magazine loaded with ammo? If it doesn't have ammo, it would catch at the open position. Another possibility making you the the return spring (under the barrel is on the lower portion of the notch or may just need good cleaning. Just my .02 |

| Do you have the correct magazine in it or for it? Don't know so have to ask and try all possibilities since we weren't there. Generally, the only reason the slide stays open is when the mag. is out of ammo or the wrong mag is/was used. If you maybe tried a 15 rounder in a 10 rounder or a 10 rounder in a 15 rounder. Not sure what model mags work with what. Some can take both but I don't know which those are. Maybe I'm wrong and they all can shoot 10 or 15 rounders. But I think there are a few that don't. Keep us informed.

| Lost in the Ozone Again ![]() | I'm thinking a broken spring on the slide stop lever (keeping it in the non-engaged position--gravity should do this also, but there might be the chance of it moving under recoil). I installed an aftermarket one on my G26, and the spring which held the lever down and kept it from bouncing around was too short in length and wouldn't stay put to keep tension. Went back to an original.
