357 Sig and 40

Can the 357 sig glocks be converted to 40 with just a barrel change? Or the other way around, convert a glock in 40 to 357 sig with a barrel swap?

To the best of my knowledge they can. My understanding is the only difference is the barrel, but I would contact a local gunstore or smith to be sure.

I know you can with the sigs, you should be able to with the G-locks. But I would wait and talk to a G-lock man before buying a barrel for one. Not all pistols are made that way.

Thanks for the quick response. I did not see any reason this could not be done, but wanted a second opinion before I ordered. I will let you know what I find out.

Upon further research I have found that the barrels will swap right out. Models 27 and 33, 23 and 32, 22 and 31 appear to be interchangeable for caliber swaps. Good deal. Thanks all.

Yes, you can swap it back and forth. Although it should be the same lenght or longer.

You can definitely convert your Glock 23 .40 to a sig .357 or to a 9mm with a simple barrel swap. Even more reason to love the G23. In my opinion, If I'm going to drop the money on the new barrel, I'd just assume add a little more and buy the whole gun. More glocks in your safe, the better!

Some folks have tried the .40 to 10mm swap with the G23. That is a big mistake. The frame on the G23 is not built to handle the increased pressure of the 10mm.
