Buying a glock in a few weeks, if i can find one

I am buying a Glock in a couple weeks, if i can find what i am looking for. I am tied up between a glock 19, glock 34 or go bigger with a glock 23. Go to anywhere on the net and wow, Glocks are great. I am looking for an all around pistol. I know 9mm ammo is cheaper but i also want knock down power. I figure hollow points will hurt someone but i want to make sure. I like the thought of having some distance between me and someone willing to hurt me or my family, is why i am considering the glock 34. I will be carrying at times. I have not heard alot about the glock 34, just what i read from Glock site, and i like it. I also will be shooting often. I need as much info as i can get. I know all Glocks are not easy to find right now, I have a friend who has a Glock19 and he loves it. It is impossible to find a place here in Pa. that has all 3 for me to compare at the same time. I sure hope someone can give me good input to help me decide. Thanks......

If you plan on carrying the gun, I would not recommend the 34. I used to own one and it is a terrific gun, but very big. If you want something for home and for carry I would recommend the 19 or 23. They are the same size and are small enough to conceal relatively easily and big enough to shoot comfortably often.

Whichever Glock you get, get one in .40S&W. I have the G35, bought it primarily for target and hopefully someday competition shooting, I've changed a few things on it just because I could and had the money and wanted to, not because it needed it or I had to, and it's only made it that much better of a shooter.

Good luck! Oh, and enjoy, because it'll shoot great right out of the box!

Good Luck on finding a New Glock !!! I helped my friend who has an FFL look for a 30 with no luck at tall.
He did find a guy with 6 somewhere in the North East who wanted close to 700 bucks for each of them.

Of course that was to much to pay so he gave up and told his customer he couldn't find one.

May be different where yall live...A.H

steve, welcome to the g&g and i have the g-22 in the .40 if you want to ensure the knock down point the personal protection ammo even in the 9mm will do just that yes the .45 is my personal choice but owning 9mm,40mm,45mm all glocks and availablty of ammo in your are is most important if you have and is plentful in all cal's get the one that make's you most comfortable for your own protection....

welcome to the forum. i have a G23 and I think its the perfect combination of size, firepower and caliber. i'd go with it and later (or now) get a 9mm conversion barrel and G19 mags and you have the best of both calibers.

If the G23 fits you I would go with it. Good CCW gun and it will do the job.

i live in south western Pa, theres a place called ace sporting goods. If you go to google and type in "ace sporting goods washington pa" they have a site and you can get their number and addreess. If you live around there they usualy have every glock.
