Disassembly problems w/ SA Super Match

OK, So I'm not as smart as I thought I was. I have read the M1A manual and looked at all the pretty pictures. But I still can not get the opperating rod to release from the reciever. Has anyone out there had a problem like that with a Super Match? I feel like a dummy. I have tried everything I know of to get the gun apart but no go
