Hello: I have tried most of the gun cold Blue product's out there... They are fine for small and I mean very small touch-up... That is all they are good for. I sent this revolver to Ford's refinishing in Florida and they do all the work for Cylinder & Slide. They are a small Mom & Pop operation and do work that exceed's factory work.. I have no reason to pump them up other than the fact they did the nicest job I have "EVER" seen. here is a link to them and they do have a price list there also. This revolver was a worn out Blue original finish. Someone did a lousy job of re-Bluing it and polished the S&W trademark almost completly off !! Ford's also will restamp any and all the factory number's trade mark's or roll stamp's for a price of 25.00 extra on refinish. this to me is the difference between knowing a revolver has been refinished or not. I have had many so called professionals look at mine and not one could tell it was "REFINISHED"... Contact them as they also give and internet special and I know you would not be dissapointed in there work or prices.."LIFE'S TO SHORT TO HAVE AND UGLY REVOLVER".....Regards, Hammerdown. http://www.fordsguns.com/index1.htm ![]() |

Makes me think about having my old .22 H&R 922 refinished. Well...not very long because it's only worth about $74.
