Custom Mauser

Well I just talked my dad out of a 1908 Mauser action that he had had for near years. We stopped off at a gunsmith on the way home form town. Dad wants to get a 6mm BR made for him, wile he was jawing with one gunsmith I was talking to the other about the 1908 action and I was asking ig he could build a .284 or a 6.5/284 for me out if it. He said drop it off and !!!! check to see if it will feed the case, and if it will I'll have one built for me. I made an offer to dad for the action but he insisted on giving it to me, so now I'm trying to talk the wife into letting me get it built now. He uses Pachmeyr match grade barrels and garrentees great accuracy.

pachmeyr- never heard of them making rifle barrels. good luck with the project.

I thought it was odd too but when he brouht out a custom Savage in 7mm STW that he just got done shooting a .177 group I was impressed.
