Magazine conversion

I have a savage with an internal mag. Can it be converted to a detachable mag.

I think by using a model 14 stock, you will be able to do that.

It can be converted I believe. But you will need access to a machine shop, or a bunch of money. I recently saw a Ruger M77 in 308 converted to take M14 mags. Guy said it cost him $500+ for the conversion.

I think for $500 I am more than happy with my internal 3 round mag.
