7mm mauser

I have a old 7mm mauser that had a scope on it but the person who drilled the holes didn't do a good job at so the where the front base is they drilled three holes. The back one there was only enough room for one hole and they had to cut the base in half. To zero it I had to put shims in the scope rings and adjust the windage all the way to the left. It messed up my scope so it wouldn't adjust back to the right. I did shoot my first deer with it though. I want to fill in the holes and put iron sites on it. Is there anything out there so that I could do it or would I have to send it to a gunsmith?

Take it to a gunsmith and have him tell you what is best.
