| Banned | Winchester 94 ejection My apologies for the cross post but I wanted to get this in front of the eyes of some gunsmiths, too. My Win. 94 .30-30 is very weak in ejecting. I have replaced the ejector with a new, machined one, along with the spring. Any suggestions for getting it to flip those cases out a little better? Thanks |

| Senior Member | This may sound dumb, but work the lever faster. I'm serious. My father's 1896-made Model 1894 in .25-35 works just fine that way after I fixed it up. If you open the lever slowly, the round won't eject very fast at all. The faster you open that lever, the more forceful the spent cartridge will eject. By the way, I'm not a gunsmith... unless you consider an amateur "home gunsmith".

This required thinking so, I'm tired. ![]() The new ejector turned out to be unfinished. It needed fitting to the bolt because it was frozen in place. Works like a new one, now! Thanks. | |
