You can actually build one of these for the price of an AR-15 and 1/2 !
It is all the accessorys that add up and ammo , that I am now glad I stockpiled several years ago just for this day !

Good God Moose ... please don't tempt me ! As for ammo, I have the 'right stuff' ... but not the links (unless they are the same from modern day machine guns?

... if you can, PM me with more information, i.e. manufacturers you used, etc. ...

I dont know yet...It has been sub zero here with lots of snow on the ground.
so I havent tested it yet other than gauging everything , checking firing pin protrusion , Headspace , and all moving parts...Then I have been belting up lots of ammo...

... well Moose, the wife didn't say 'NO' ... so I may be building one myself this upcoming year ! Any and all advice (aside from the obvious amounts of money) would be greatly appreciated.

... I'll look into the kit from Sarco you suggested.

figure out if you want to shoot .308 or 30/06 !
that is the first step and there are a few different parts necessary for the .308. model that i'm not sure come in the kit but can be found if not.
They both assemble the same way...

Oh, I can see the looks on my neighbor's faces now, as I carry one o' those puppies out of the garage and put it in the back of my pickup.....

Or go wheelin' to the grocery store in one of these.....

... I'll go with .30 - 06, keeping it as original as possible.
