my experience with my HKs is they pretty much shoot anything you try to shoot.

230 grain
as far as accuracy and distance, don't know if anyone has stretched the distance out.

Well as with any caliber a lighter weight bullet will fly faster and flatter. But what kind of distances are you looking at that would help then I could look at some tables and see where the 230 stands in relation to the rest.
I have shot out to 75ft. with my usp 40 tactical, and at least 50ft with my p2000 both have performed as I expect the finest handguns in the world to perform.

According to this chart

You also have to think about what you are hitting at those distances are we talking paper or self defense.

I like the 230 grain. If you want to shoot a lighter bullet, it kinda defeats the purpose of a USP in my mind.

Just saw this.
I reload using Hornady .45ACP 200grn Target/Combat (fully encapsulated) semi-waddcutter on top of 6.9grn of VIHT N-340. I think it is about 900fps, but I dont have a chrony (will get one when I get back home).
I can make a slow well placed head shot at 25yrds with this ammo out of my USP .45ACP.
