Yeah, they just do NOT "play" . . . looooong history of that mindset there. Nor do they allow any other matters (seemingly) effect, or get in the way of "Quality".

They just plain, flat-out and straight-away do stuff properly, and thoroughly.

Another member of G&G have talked about this before. Be it tools guns whatever. They are the best. I know that there are people out there that think there are guns just as good out there but there just plain isnt. I mean the favorite SMG of the world is still the MP5 and has been for 25 years or so. They build the best but you have to pay for it if thats what you want.

There is a reason that HK doesnt make the best revolver out there......they dont build them...

Yeah, my experience is that German stuff is just plain TOP-SHELF. I haven't owned a lot of it, but what I have had (and still have) is just great.

Bought a used MINI a few years ago, and it was very simply, without any doubt whatsoever, the tightest, most precise, and FUN experience I've ever had on four-wheels - nothing else even came a close 2nd. I live in the mountains, and that machine was absolutely BUILT for the twists and turns of these Appalachian back-roads (and main roads TOO!) Phenomenal piece of machinery.

Besides that I can't think of too many things...some "Braun" products that were simply the standard, and the CLASS of everything in their respective categories (electric razor, coffee-machine, etc.).

German industry simply does not mess-around...they're ALL "business" - and Thee Best, of business.

Ok, that's enough of my "German-Love-FETISH" for EINS NACHT~! haa

Ha yeah, "not quite" (like, "not hardly") HOWEVER ... I AM seriously thinking - in the name or "RESEARCH", to pick one up ... how can ya go wrong, frankly all I've heard is that they're "ugly" ... "ugly as hell"..."fugly as F...", well, you know, that they're cheap (no kidding) and that ya get what ya pay for (hmmm - 100% of the time...? I don't know.

On the up, Positive side, ALL that I've heard is: "they go BANG EVERY-TIME"... I want one, just to see that...and I can gamble $150-$175 (for a .45 even!!!), ... THEN, after I've saved for A YEAR-AND-A-HALF...I could get the HK...or ...

Hey, what about the other, "big-name" German guns: SIG (Sauer), Walther, Mauser, etc. - what to you think (opinion[s] about them??

My opinion about sig is that if the navy seals have picked it as their primary there must be a **** good reason.

As to walther... older walther oh absolutely good guns new ones are built by s&w and frankly it shows. Mausers are the end all be all of bolt action rifles every great design since has started as a mauser and been modified from there.

Ha...no, it's been there since, well, I don't know, since whenever I first came-across the HK site...whenever it occurred to me to go there (year-and-a-half/two years ago?) . . . actually, I very much "HOPE" to one day be able to afford to add a German (or Austrian?) pistol to my "collection" . . . collection...HAH!! Yeah right. I mean my ONE handgun (Kel Tec 9mm CCW)...unless I can count a Winchester 12 gauge (albeit a 1958 model 12/1912 - when shotguns were ["simply"] SHOTGUNS!), and an eight yr-old, .17 cal Savage - BASIC model).

I keep "many" of the major mfg's sites loaded in my Bookmarks - simply for "quick reference" purposes ... to (maybe) learn a li'l somethin' . . . on occasion.
