New H&R ultra varmit

Just picked up a new H&R ultra varmit chambered in 22-250. Has a bushnell scope mounted believe its 2-10 x 50mm. Just wanted to show her off. guess the old M&P15 is useless now

H&Rs are fine little rifles! I bought one in 223 a few months back and love it. Quick, accurate and a lot of fun to carry and shoot.

It was really neat!
I have a H & R SL, in 22Hornet, and I love that little thing.
Perfect for fox and crow.

The "Ultra " models are lookers thats for sure but they can be great shooters too. Just a couple pointers :
Make sure there is no oil on the latch engagement ( just take the barrel off to see the pivot point and the latch that locks up the barrel)
Make sure there is no side to side play when the barrel is locked up.
and if those as well as your scope and mounts are all tight, you might have to polish the bore with some JB paste or Flitz to smooth it out.
Just some very basic help I have learned from some good friends... or "Handiholics" as we call ourselves
Let us know how she shoots.

Ok finally got this little bugga out and fired about 100 rounds thru it. First impression wow it is really loud and jumps around when fired. Second that bull barrel really heats up fast and holds the heat. As far as accuracy I was shooting groups at 100yds that fit with in a half dollar. 3-5 shot groups. I am not into the whole measuring and writing down the conditions being that If I can group a half dollar thats good for me. Over all I am really impressed with the accuracy and ability of this gun. Only real negative I didn't like was how fast it heated up. However I doubt I will be shooting 20-30 rounds darn near one after another while hunting.
