Anyone with a Stag, that reloads, found any recipes or a recipe that your Stag really likes? I doubt there is, figure if someone had, they might have posted it already. But then, I just thought/figured I'd ask just in case anyways...

I have a STAG 6L. It is a great piece. I just got it last week and shot in in over the weekend.
I am new to rifles, this is my first. I am a shotgunner but picked this up for some varmint vaporization.
Anyway, here is my rundown:
I bought some 75 grain Hornady MAtch Grade BTHP to shoot. They shoot great, but they are expensive (Over $20 per box). So, I kept thinking, every trigger pull was a buck a pop.
I also bought some Silver Bear 62 Grain BTHP. The gun would not cycle them. Hung up every time. They are about $6 a box. So, I gave these to my old man and he can shoot them out of his H&R Single shot!
CONTINUED:
1. I have never reloaded, but would like to maybe start. I have no idea where to begin. Can someone give me some direction or guidance on where to start and what I need to get / think about?
2. Any suggestions on some accurate, reliable, affordable ammo choices to shoot out of this? It seems to only cycle brass, which limits me on the discount ammo, but I am looking for good results without burning a buck every time I pull the trigger.
Anyway, I love this gun. It is tactical and accurate, has a great look and great feel. I would recommend it to anyone.
My advise is to have an experienced reloader sit down with you if at all possible. You will save alot of time and learn alot easier than just picking up a couple books.
I recently got a Stag 3H upper for the build I just completed. It's looking great & has a Magpul CTR stock & for now at least a Nikon Monarch 2-7 scope. I'll shoot it soon.
I shot it a few days ago & all went well. I shot some 55 grn Hornaday SPSX handloads to get the scope sighted in, Nikon Monarch 2-7. It was all very sweet.
I just got a model 1 and shot it last week it did not like the reloads jamed a fue times so I will just use new federal for a wile till it weres in. I was hiting 1 in at 50yds open sites need to scope it.
I have a model 1L, I love that left hand ejection. I shoot only handloaded ammo in mine. I use the Hornady 55 gr Fmjs loaded with 25 grains H335. They shoot great! I have no problems.
If you haven a rifle with the 1:9 twist I would not shoot 75 grain projectiles. It won't stabilize the heavy bullets. The heavier bullets are made for rifles with a 1:7 twist.
Got a Stag model 5 in 6.8 Rem SPC from my wife for Valentine's day. Finally got to go out & put a few rounds through it today. Nice! Just started working a load up. Haven't found any Benchmark powder yet, so I'm using H4895 for now. Pressure's listed at about 10,000 psi lower than for Benchmark & H322. Velocity's a bit lower too. (Around 100-200 fps). Might be a while before I get a satisfactory load cooked up. Depends on powder/#41 primer availability.
