Good idea SC-1. |
A decent cheap way that might look good that I have considered is to put down a small area of laminate flooring. It would cost about 80 bucks with all the trimmings, You can fold the carpet under and staple it down. Should work pretty well.

I built this bench on a 2x4 frame and an 8 ft. countertop. I spent $75, including paint and hardware. It's laged to the wall and dead solid. I also have storage cabinets that you can't see in the photo. |

Sonny, I'm new to this web site, just lookin' around, saw your bench! WOW ! I thought mine was a pretty good set-up, w/cabinet on the wall and a solid table, mine looks like something ol' Jed Clampett might have had in that cabin! lol Serious, maybe in a couple years I can get my stuff organized like yours, very nice set up Boss!

Sorry dont think this old computer will let me do pics but will get them on here through someone elses computer. Mine is a 2'x3' box on wheels (8) you can move it anywhere you want and houses everything inside plus is operational. bigione built this in about 2 hours years ago. It opens up (1' section) and the shelves slide out for operation. Will post pictures as soon as possible. Would be great for guys who dont have room for benches. Plus the wife can use it for a table top when not in use for reloading.

Well, finally got mine "finished" if there is such a thing, but I use it for a work bench also, along with reloading.

Here's mine:
Nothing fancy, but it works for me. I also have a single stage press on its way (should be here this week), and a 12 ga. MEC shotshell reloader that my wife's nephews have at the moment. That works out pretty well. I let them borrow the press and they keep me supplied with shotgun shells. My next step is cover the top of my bench with some white formica and paint the shelves.

...and, it's organized and clean. | I can't stand working in a messy environment. Plus it's too easy for me misplace things and get distracted. There are a few things out while I'm actually loading, but it gets cleaned up at the end of every session. It may sound tedious but simple people have simple ways.

You have a Lyman Spar-T. That's a good press. I see you have a coffee can too. What would a reloading room be with out a coffee can. I have several. I like the shelf as well. You have a good set up jtuck.

My guess is he has yet to put a coat hanger or elastic band on it to keep it upright.

jimkim-
I have several on the desk on the other side of the room. They are great for storing brass in. Especially the new plastic Folger's cans that have handles. I use the smaller cans to store bullets in as well. I love that Spar-T press. It is the press I grew up using to "help" my grandfather reload.
wun-
It hangs there like that until it sees me coming to reload, then it gets excited and stands up.
Seriously though, there's nothing wrong with letting it hang is there? If so I need to fix it.

Not sure, just noticed it hanging and I'm a few thousand miles away from mine so I can't check it and as Jimkim says most people just tie it back somehow.

What kind of powder measure is that? It looks like a Lyman No. 55, but I don't remember them in that colour.
