Smile I scored some primers!!!!!!!

I found 2 boxes of Federal Gold Metal Match small pistol primers for $35 each. I feel like I just won a scavenger hunt. I'm going to have to give praise to The Country Attic in Lebanon Ohio. I called him on Saturday( I think) and he held them until today (Tuesday) for me with no money over the phone, just my name. He doesn't know me from the next guy. He also said he could only sale me 2 boxes at a time so more people had a chance to get them. Which was fine with me. It helps keep the gougers away from buying all of them and then reselling. So a Big thank you Country Attic for all of the above! You now have a customer for life. It's refreshing to find a FFL like this now a days.

Good for you. I found a case of Varget and bought two pounds. Two other guys were standing there drooling with me when he opened it. Then I found 300 of the Gold Match large pistol primers but no .45 bullets which I was after, but still a good day.

It's kind of a rush to find some of this stuff. I also picked 500 cast .38 F.P. 125 grain for $26.00 and 500 cast .38 swc 158 grain for $31.20. Congrats on your find.

It is nice to find a score. I was quite excited when I found 3,000 small pistol primers a while back.

Went to Bass Pro today and looked behind the counter and saw a box of Winchester small pistol primers sitting there. It said $2.99 a pack of 100. I asked the clerk behind the counter for them. He grabbed the box and started to open it and I said no I'll take the whole box. He started laughing and that was fast. I guess they hadn't been out long. Just after I bought them another guy came up and asked for them. Whew!!! That was close.

CCI subbing for Winchester

I have had an order in to Cabela's for a year this month, 2K each of large rifle, small rifle, large pistol and small pistol, all Winchester. The large rifle & pistol has been filled. Today I got an offer from them to substitute the small rifle & pistol with CCI primers.
I told them "no thanks, I wouldn't take a boxcar full of CCI anything , even as a gift." I just don't like the crush-fit fight to seat them.
Told them that I would wait for the Winnies, or maybe consider Remingtons.
