Blackhawk convertible Berry's 9mm loads

Well it was a slow day so got my 9 mm 124 gr. HP load worked up. I shot several groups of 5 just like this so I'm good to go,well pleased with the first outing shooting these bullets in my revolver.

That's some Good shootin! What model, barrel length, sights, grips do you have? Is your's an original Ruger converter 9mm/357 revolver? I have an interest in the 9mm aspect, the concept is interesting. I have fitted a 9mm cylinder to my New Model Blackehawk. Thanks for sharing!

Mine is an original 357/9mm new model BH I bought about 25+ years ago. It has the 6 1/2 barrel, factory sights. About the only thing different is I put a set of Pachmayr grips and a Poly-Choke vent rib that I installed myself about a week after I bought the pistol.

I've never shot more than about two boxes of 9mm through it all those years, had plenty of 38/357 ammo but with the recent ammo situation and a couple K of 9mm brass I pickup up or people gave me figure I would load up some.

Did the Berry's projectiles "shave" any material at the headspace in the cylinder? Ruger recommends not using lead bullets in the convertable for this reason. I too enjoy my convertible.

Well I shoot 125 gr.RN cast lead, Berry's 115 RN & 124 gr. HP's so far with no problems. Bullets drop right in smooth like any other load.

cool, my new model s/n is from the 1st year 1973 that I obtained from a auction this past fall.
I aquired a 9mm cylinder from a nice lady on "gun broker" me, that I fitted to my "new" Blackhawk. I have not shot it before or after the fitting. I too have a number of 9mm that I got for a low price ($5.00 per 50rds at Bass Pro FMJ) I need to get out and try 4 of my newest guns and fit a old Weaver V22 scope on a old Winchester Mod 74 so........ I just need to get out more often!!! well, I'm jealous of your great ability to shoot!!! keep that up, gun control is a good thing!!!
