| Senior Member | what next for loading 6.62by39 i loaded some ammo and am now at the max the book allows at 18.5 of imr 4227 powder and it wont cycle the weapon put factory loades in and they work fine should i go with more than book says or try different powder:uzi: sorry that was 7,62 by 39 Last edited by burd1959; 07-21-2006 at 05:38 PM. | Member | I think you probably need different load data. A lot of the newer US published load books are really pretty conservative in the numbers that you get for maximum loads. The Vihtavouri N120 powder (similar in burning rate to 4227) seems to be about their best powder for the 7.62x39 and these guys publish good numbers. |

| Mr. Fixit ![]() | I would recommend running down the road to Cabelas in Dundee and picking up the second Lee manual( around $12). You will probably also find that with a little "judicial" shopping, they are one of the best reloading component sources around. There are also free manuals avail. from the powder\bullet\case manufacturers as well. several of these can also be found @ Cabelas.
