Anyone reload 7.5x55 Swiss ?

I am thinking about getting a Swiss K31, and need info on reloading for it. Avaliability of brass and bullets, dies.

I am set up to reload many other calibers, so I just need info on the 7.5x55.

Thanks

Nick

I intend on reloading some this spring.

Sorry.

Lee makes a die set. I saw one at the gun show this weekend. If I remember correctly, Midway USA carries the dies.

First off, Hello.
I am considering the same thing. Some of the best info for reloading for the 7.5x55 round is from SwissRifles They have a good section on reloading plus their forum is loaded with info. Supposably the LEE's dies are not correct. They are supposably made for the older model Swiss. I have heard others say it doesn't matter though. Food for thought. Hope this helps

I was TOLD that you can use 30-06 brass to make brass for the Swiss..
Anybody hear that? I don't know if it involves fire forming or what, but it's what I was told..

Hornady, RCBS and Redding dies are the only three common makers that have dies that are specifically marked K31 Swiss dies...as far as I know.

RCBS has dies as a regular stock item. Midway and Graf have brass. Plain old .308 bullets work fine in my K31. Plenty of loading data in the various manuals. It's basically a no-brainer. I use a moderate load of 4064, get great accuracy.

Case forming is only for when you absolutely can't get brass. Otherwise it's just too much trouble. I speak from experience.
