| 45ACP shotshell
Hi all, Anyone have experience loading shotshells for the 45ACP? I am looking for load data and alternative loading dies to accomplish this task. I have the RCBS case form dies, but I do not want to spend $154 for the loading dies in this caliber. I can use the case forming die to resize the spent case. All I need is a method for crimping the case mouth on this cartridge. All suggestions are welcome. thanks |

It is built into your bullet seating die.Adjust the die so it just touches the crimping ring in the bullet seating die and then turn down about 3/4 to full turn or until satisfied.I use plastic shot capsules sam.

I think Samuel is right on the crimping but I must ask why shotshell from a .45? I've shot them from a .22 to a .357. They are great for about 7 feet. Thats the maximum range. I even killed a rattlesnake with .357. Barely..he needed many more shots. Not enough power, powder, knockdown. |

Good for shooting squirells in the shed. Just remember they are loud! Use ear protecttion or you will be sorry.
