well i got my 454 casull dies and was decapping some brass.
the tiny screw that secures the shell holder in my lyman press broke in half lengthways.
so it all came to a screeching halt until i go to town and find a suitable replacement.
shucks!

I think this is part of why I don't reload. Fear of blowing up a gun, blowing up myself, or just haveing so many doubts that I never figure out what I am doing. Oh, and haveing three young kids. one of which I am certain would find out how to set off all the powder at once.

I have lots of kids around and they often think they are helping me.After a couple safe demos with powder and primers they are very cautious. sam.

Is that a LEE press billy?I havent looked at a lee catalogue for years. Its a lot like the old super simplex press made in australia.

Reloading is the same as everything we do.If common sense is used its all good.Dont be afraid to ask questions no matter how dumb they might sound.

I couldnt really shoot very much if i didnt load my own. Some of my firearms i could use factory, but i would sacrafice accuracy. Then others are custom and there is no factory ammo available.

Nothing better than harvesting animals with ammo you loaded yourself,or winning a competition with your own brand of woopass.

i actually thought i might get into this
samuels scaredme out of it now

i havent.
dont bother telling me about crap you found on the internet.

If you dont get a good crimp to delay the bullet until the powder is burning good the lack of gasses will mean low pressure and doesnt even expand the case enough to get a good gas seal. This is evident when you have black down the outside of the fired case. unquote:like this sam?
this is a factory win. super x case

billy I had freind whos shooting reloads from a another friend. he says that nothing was wrong the first few cylinders in a 357 mag how ever disaster struck . when the gun exploded it went up over his arms the rear end of the pistol smacking hin in the head . the gun was ruined and he never has used reloads since......
