safe brass?

i have a few hundred pieces like this.
my question is.
is the shiny ring pronounced enough to warrant trashing all of it?
all pics are of the same case i was trying to show it as well as i could.
thanks again.
bill

That ring is right where casing separation takes place at and altho I dont recognise the fancy design it appears to be imbedded and would weaken the case to the point I would not trust it. I would pitch them. As to blazer,it isnt brass,It's aluminum.Cant be reloaded because once it is stretched it stays stretched.Punch blazer ammunition up on the search bar. sam.

Sam, fwiw, CCI has started making some of the Blazer ammo in brass, boxer-primed cases.

If they have brass cases I emagine it could be reloaded but I didnt see anything but aluminum. sam. I went to the CCI/Blazer website and all they had was aluminum cases and they say they are non reloadable so I will take them at their word.If anyone can prove different I would be intrested.I virtually never buy loaded ammo but I try to keep up on it.

Does the case fit the chamber with nothing in them?Usuallt seoeration problems are on belted mags that seat in the belt and are full length resized or non belted cases fired in a loose chamber and full length resized and trimmed several times. Will look Lake City up. sam.

A Belted cartridge has a bit of brass larger than the normal diameter of the case in front of it. Like this:

See that belt toward the bottom?

I cant find much on Lake City Brass except it isnt supposed to be as good as Winchester. They manufacture brass for the military and that is probably why I cant find anything.I still dont know what the mark or ring is but your pictures make me think I wouldnt want to use it.Since they mfg only for military I may never find anything but it hits me they were in with federal somehow.I never used anything but Lapua and Norma for competition but used about anything that I had enough of one kind to make a decent loading session with. Will keep looking. sam.
