| spiritual counselor ![]() ![]() | i have a bunch of milsurp ammo. paki headstamp POF L2A2 79 could i pull these and put a 150 gr.sierra spitzer in it along with some IMR 4895? i am almost positive the milsurp bullets are 147 gr. thanks again! bill ![]() ![]()

| Yes as long as you use the load data for the bullet you are using.You will have to champfer the mouth because it was crimped and run the neck in the die with the decapper/expander backed off or the pin removed so you have the righr size to seat a bullet.Be careful and check the first one to be sure you dont push the shoulder out so it wont chamber.Lubricate the neck before neck resizing.Dont run the whole neck in,set your die so there is about .020"space to the shoulder. sam. | I recently aquried some milsurp for the 30-06 M1 Garand. The head stamp on the ammo reads S L 5 6 or possably S L 5 8 but I believe it's 5 6. This head stamp is new to me. Can anyone enlighten me as to what the headstamp means/refers to? Last edited by Cyrille; 03-16-2008 at 04:40 PM. |
